--------------------- Biography ---------------------
Louis Drent is a photographer from Arnhem, since 1999 he resides in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, The Netherlands.
Louis has been active in advertising photography for 43 years, 40 of which in his own studio. In this time he received the necessary public attention in his field of work and several awards. 2 Golden Camera’s and several honourable mentions at the Kodak Camera d’Or competitions for established Dutch photographers, in the category “Glamour”. Several national photo-exhibitions are part of his creative expression. Publications in trade journals and national newspapers have been dedicated to his work.
His complete autobiography and work belonging to the art-series “Obsessions” from the “Luigi Art Collection” can be found at the Fotomuseum in Rotterdam, as part of an image of the time of Dutch Photography. It pertains an artful series of man and nature in the broadest sense.
After years of commercial work Louis Drent has diverted his photographical interest to the photography of man, nature and animals in the most creative way. He keeps opening up new horizons.
